All of the terminology listed below is universally used throughout the site.

1) SILVER / SILVER-FINISH: Term used in reference to spacer bead materials, earring hooks, & clasps. I do use sterling silver in certain cases. If that material is used, it will be noted in the item description.

2) GOLD / GOLD-FINISH: Term used in reference to spacer bead materials, earring hooks, & clasps. I do not use 14 kt. gold in my designs. Needless to say, it is just too expensive.

3) HIGHLIGHT: refers to metal beads used to separate gemstones / beads / crystals in a piece

4) CORRUGATED: refers to ridges on the surface of a bead, usually on round metal beads

5) ACCENT: a second type of bead that gives extra color or substance to a piece of jewelry

6) CRYSTAL PEARL: This is a pearl that is composed of a heart of Swarovski crystal. For the various colors available, please see the color chart in the "CRYSTAL COLOR GUIDE" section.

7) CRYSTAL: I only use Swarovski crystals in my designs. If I do happen to use a different type of crystal-like bead, I will note it in the item description. For a list of colors available, please see the color chart in the "CRYSTAL COLOR GUIDE" section.

8) HYPOALLERGENIC: Term used to reference metals, mostly those used in earring hooks. These metals are known to not cause allergic reactions.

9) GEMSTONE: Refers to both precious & semi-precious stones. I use mostly semi-precious stones in my designs. Examples include jade, agate, goldstone, sodalite, jasper, & bloodstone. For a list of all the gemstones that I have available, please see the "GEMSTONES" section.
